Shortcut Shrimp Fra Diavolo

Ingredients

2 lbs jumbo shrimp (peeled & deveined)

6-7 cloves of garlic (the more the merrier)

1/2 white wine (use the good stuff)

A bunch of parsley

Olive oil

2 tbs red crushed pepper

A pinch of kosher salt

Juice from a half of lemon

Two jars of your favorite arrabbiata ( I like Carbone Or Rao’s)

1 pound linguine


Directions


Wash shrimp pat dry and set aside.(I soak them in salted water with some juice from a lemon)

In a large skillet drizzle in olive oil.

When the skillet is nice and hot

Start to sauté shrimp.

(You'll want to start your pasta at this point)

Once the flesh turns pink (this takes only a few min) add in chopped garlic and parsley.

Add in crushed pepper and salt.

Allow to cook for a few minutes.

Next add in wine, and lemon juice.

Allow wine to cook off and remove the shrimp to a large plate and set aside.

In the same pan add in two jars of sauce of choice , and deglaze all those little bits left over from the shrimp ( that’s the good stuff)

Allow sauce to cook and let the flavors incorporate, and add in shrimp and give it a mix.(cook the shrimp in the sauce for a bit before adding in pasta 2-3 min)

Add in linguine toss and combine together. Garnish with a sprinkle of parsley
